Our editing so far

here is our editing so far we have managed to get most done howeve im showing the stages we were at a week ago.

Similar film to ours !

Our film is in many ways simular to psycho ! however some elements are very different. firstly like psycho we have very dark lighting and obscured camara angles which almost confuse and grip the audience with fear of the unknown. We are balancing diagetic and non diagetic cound well with speech and tense music to keep the audience on the edge of there seats. mise en scene is alot similar also we to have a knife as our murder weapon and blood splattered pathments and such. our character however are dressed far more modernly giving our film the 21 centure twist. make up and props will be used just to add extra to our murder scenes and tense atmospheres.We are also like psycho using to camera points of view which is our point of view and a third person point of view to add another dimension than just one point of view.

Filming and editing !

We have completed our opening filming sequences and have uploaded onto adobe premier pro. we have edited the title sequence also thanks to the help of this video, And i will update later. My next post will be a comparison between a similar film as our idea has changed due to unforseen events.

Filming !

We have struggled massively to finish our filming just because of the amount of work we have all been doing but things are looking up and we managed to film all of our movie however the quality of most of the shots were poor so we have started filming again and have finished the opening sequence. tuesday is our next filming date and hope to film the middle sections then.

Rough cut !!

We have been informed by our media teacher that we have until next tuesday to complete a rough cut of our short film opening we are all set to do so if the premier pro editing software is working and we brush up our film we are ready to go.

filming half term

due to many restrictions and lack of communication on everyone part we did not film in the half term however we still have a few shots done and are all set to film our hardest scene this week so tuesday will be our day of filming and we will try to get most of it done.

I have been informed that we are not filming tomorrow because where we live we have been hit with a heavy layer of snow ! and also shows continuty error. we are going to add to our blogs and get used to premier pro and hopefully add some special effects here is a link to what we are trying to re-create ...
